Another summer, another retreat for the ValgepeaLab team! This time, we headed to Otepää for two nights filled with fun activities, team bonding, and a workshop on reviewing scientific papers. On the first day, we came together to review an upcoming manuscript written by our Ph.D. student, Ugochi Nwaokorie. We discussed key areas that could be strengthened while also celebrating her excellent work in designing and carrying out the experiments and writing the manuscript.
On the second day, we enjoyed an adrenaline-filled visit to Otepää Adventure Park. We put our teamwork into practice, encouraging one another as we tackled the challenging trails high among the treetops. We ended the course with an exciting ride on a beautiful zipline! Of course, we also made time for the sauna, jacuzzi, and games, what else would you expect from a group in Estonia? We can’t wait for the next retreat. See you in winter!
